What is a Changent?
A Changent is someone who sees possibilities, asks questions, and takes action to make a difference.
The word Changent was created by Kristen, one of our original youth camp ambassadors, by bringing together two words: Change + Agent.
A Changent doesn't need to have all the answers. They don't need to be the loudest person in the room or have a special title.
They are curious. They care about the word around them. They listen, learn, work with others, and have the courage to try.
Because meaningful change doesn't always begin with something big.
Sometimes it begins with a question.
Anyone can be a Changent, including YOU.
ChangentYYC is located in the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the Iyarhe Nakoda. The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation.
